My everyday makeup routine

I'm a huge fan of makeup. Addicted to the stuff. But I just don't have the time to put it all on when I'm rushing out the door. That's why I always tend to keep my everyday makeup routine quick and simple, leaving my weekend makeup routine to be a bit more advanced. Today I'm going to be going through my everyday makeup routine step by step, showing you exactly what I do before I head out the door for another busy day.

1. Firstly, I remove any remaining makeup I had on previously with either a face wipe or cleansing lotion. (Whatever I can grab first).

Once my skin is clean and refreshed I get out everything I need and lay it out on my dressing table.

  • Powder
  • Concealer
  • Mascara
  • Eyeliner

I start with concealer, dabbing my finger at the places where I want to cover up the most. I gently rub in my concealer with my fingers slowly. This is usually under my eyes, down my nose, a tad on my cheeks and over any other redness or spots that I want to cover up.

When that's done I then move onto my powder. With my powder puff I apply the powder all over my face- going in a downwards motion. I then grab a big fluffy brush and dab some more powder over my nose and forehead (the places that gets oily quickly). I finish of my skin with a light pink blusher and apply it lightly.

3. Once I'm happy with my skin I then move onto eyeliner and mascara. I love having my eyeliner thick in the weekdays with a slight cat flick. Other times when I'm in a BIG rush I just apply a thinner line and add some more mascara. When putting on my eyeliner, I always start with a thin line and then gradually build up a thicker line. I find this easier as I have more control over how thick my eyeliner becomes. I then finish of my makeup by brushing my eyebrows and touching them up with a light brown pencil.

So that's how I do my everyday makeup routine. It doesn't sound hard or doesn't look hard because it really isn't. If you would like to see my weekend makeup routine or party makeup routine then let me know!

Thank you again for reading and see you next time!
