The power of Lipstick

Hey guys!

Today I tried a whole new lipstick colour which was different compared to what I usually wear. I wasn't sure whether to wear it or not at first but in the end I thought 'whatever I'm gonna do this' so I felt pretty excited to try it (I'm sad, I know).

Earlier, I was wandering through M&S and I kept looking in those big mirrors to see what my new lipstick looked like on me (not in a vain way) and it made me feel pretty confident. It then made me realise how powerful makeup can make you feel. Especially Lipstick. It really complimented my whole makeup look and finished it off.

So don't worry if you're not sure whether to wear that lipstick shade or that eyeshadow colour. Just give it a go and if you didn't rock it then maybe it's just not for you. It's surprising how many colours can actually suit you. You just need to find the right ones!

If you're a brunette like me and have bluey green eyes than purple looks REALLY good with a brown smokey eye. I know it sounds extremely strange but give it a go, you never know!

What's on my dressing table?

I'm not one for cluttering but I do admit I gather some crap on my dressing table sometimes. Aside from that, I'm pretty motivated to tidy it often and keep it presentable. I've decided to do a post on what I keep on my dressing table (essentials and not) and let you guys have a small peek into my room. It's not that spectacular and it may be pretty dull but hey ho here it is.

So today I'm going to be discussing what's in my makeup bag. Yes. My own personal makeup bag.

You can use this post as your own makeup inspiration or you can just have a nosey at what I keep hidden in there. So feel free to be as nosey as you like!



1. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. I know I talk about this product a lot and you hear reviews from it everywhere so I don't really need to say any more. That's just one of the things you'll find in my makeup bag.

Nails: Shades of Autumn

Nothing can beat autumn colours. They're so alive with vibrancy you can't help but admire them. The leaves on the ground. The trees in the park. They're everywhere. So today this post is going to be all about my pick of 5 different Autumn inspired nail shades.


Lets start!


1. Browns/Beiges. Not your usual colour but definitely a great Autumn try. This shade has a warm feel about it and looks wonderful in the Autumn. You can wear almost anything with this shade and still look great!

2. Dark reds. I feel like this colour is a reminder that Christmas is on its way. It's spicy and fierce and once again goes with almost anything. I personally love red nail polishes as you can get them in so many shades.

3. Deep purples. Purple is one of my favourite colours (if you can't tell already). I find the colour very inspiring- even when it comes to my wardrobe and beauty choices. So this is definitely one of my autumn personal favourites.

4. Metallics. This can be more of a daring shade as you can't wear absolutely everything with it yet it's still a great autumn colour. Right now I'm currently loving and wearing SEVENTEEN 'Fury' nail polish which is a gold metallic colour with my gold glitter B BOX polish over the top. Its definitely appealing and gives my outfit a bit more sparkle.


5. Dark blues. I'm currently loving another SEVENTEEN polish called 'Navy Glint' which is a beautiful sparkly/shimmery nail shade in dark navy blue. I know dark colours can be seen daunting at times but if you never give them a go, you'll never know!
